Do I need to do maintenance on my septic system?

The quick answer is YES. If you fail to perform routine maintenance your system will most likely fail. If you need to replace a sanitary system, you can expect to spend $20,000 to $30,000 or more unless you are lucky and have great soils and the area to install a simple system.
