Ralph Klass, P.E., L.E.P., Director of Environmental Engineering
Ralph is a registered professional engineer and licensed environmental professional with over thirty five (35) years of environmental consulting experience in the areas of environmental site assessments, hazardous waste management, remedial investigation and feasibility studies, groundwater monitoring programs, RCRA compliance, wastewater treatment, sludge management, and contract document preparation. His experience includes investigation, remediation and redevelopment of industrial sites and commercial properties. He is well-versed in the State of Connecticut remediation programs and has performed or managed over 200 site investigation projects.
Mr. Klass has served as Environmental Engineering Manager with CCA since October 1993 on projects involving environmental site assessments, contaminated site RI/FS report preparation, design and implementation of site investigation and remediation projects, underground petroleum storage tank removal programs, lead based paint inspections, SPCC and SWPPP plan preparation, RCRA compliance programs including landfill closure design and cap construction and design of domestic water pollution control facilities.
Previous experience as Project Engineer and Project Manager with Bird Environmental/YWC Technologies of Trumbull, Connecticut included wastewater/sludge characterization and treatability studies, odor control studies, preparation of conceptual design reports, equipment selection/optimization programs, detailed design and cost benefit analyses for both municipal and industrial clients.
